Where is your office? Albright Internal Medicine is conveniently located in the Blakeney Professional Center directly off Rea Road. The office is 2.5 miles south of the I-485/Rea Road Exit (#59) near the intersection of Rea Road and Ardrey Kell Road. How soon can I get an appointment? We understand that illness is unplanned. Same Day Appoinments are available in our daily schedule for those times. Routine appointments are usually available within 3 days. What do I need to bring with me to my appointment? Patients should bring their insurance card and a list of current prescriptions and over-the-counter medications to every visit. What if I am late to my appointment or must cancel my appoinment? We appreciate you notifying us if you cannot make your appointment so that we can give that time to another patient. Please call 24 hours in advance. We reserve the right to terminate our relationship as a result of repeated missed appointments. If you are going to be more than 15 minutes late we may have to reschedule so that your tardiness does not interfere with patients that arrived on time. What happens if I get sick after hours? If you have an urgent medical need that cannot wait until regular office hours, call our office and you will be directed to a triage nurse and the physician on call. If you have a life threatening emergency, call 911 or go immediately to the nearest emergency room. Non urgent questions, refills, appointments and billing questions cannot be handled by the triage nurse. We ask that you submit your request/questions via this website or call the office the next business day. Will you take care of me in the hospital? If you require hospital care, Dr. Albright and the staff at AIM will arrange admission to the hospital of your choice. Once admitted you will be cared for by a team of "Hospitalists" who will monitor and oversee your care during your stay. These physcians cover the hospital 24 hours a day and can respond to your care needs in a timely manner. When you leave the hospital, a complete summary of your treatment, including test results and medications will be sent to our office for your medical records. How do I get refills on my prescriptions? Should you need a prescription REFILL before your next visit, please call your pharmacy. The pharmacy will fax or email our office with the necessary information need to process the request. Refills of prescriptions can take 48-72 hours to process. Please remember to call your pharmacy before your supply of medications runs out. We cannot provide refills when the office is closed. The physician on call cannot refill your medications. You can also use this website to e-mail your refill requests to the nurses at AIM. NEW prescriptions will not be given over the phone. A provider must see the patient in the office to ensure proper diagnosis and treatment. What is your payment policy? We are required by our contracts with health care plans to collect any co-pays and deductibles at the time of service. Payments may be made by cash, check or credit card. If we do not "participate" in your insurance we ask that you pay in full at the time of service. Do you do routine GYN care including Pap tests? Yes, our providers are well equipped to provide the routine care of women, including Pap tests. Our providers can also diagnose and treat frequent problems such as vaginitis, pelvic pain and menopausal symptoms. What if I have a "Non-Covered" Service? If you have a service that is not covered by your insurance like some immunizations, we ask that you pay in full at the time of your visit. We make every attempt to identify those service ahead of time.
